From my collection of Native New Zealand birds, Ossie the Tui is a stylised yet realistic, detailed rendition of one  our famous Native New Zealand birds. Rich in pattern and texture, a myriad of coloured  jewel like  tones in his feathers , make this picture an eye catching version of the traditional Tui portrait .

Ossie proudly  poses , as if for a studio portrait, puffed up and solemn, giving him an anamorphic feel.
