The Imperial State Crown is one of the crown jewels of the UK, symbolising the soveregnity of the monarch. The current version of a crown that has been around since the 15 century was made in 1937 and is worn by the monarch after the coronation ceremony. ( The St Edward's Crown is used during the ceremony to crown the monarch) It contains 2,901 precious jewels, one of which is the 2nd largest clear cut diamond in the world.
